Critical Infrastructure Services
Specialized services for facilities that cannot go down — delivered nationwide.
Beyond our electrical contracting work in Texas and Colorado, TCS supports mission-critical facilities across the country with critical power services, testing and commissioning, maintenance and emergency response, building automation and power monitoring, and engineering. These are the services that keep essential operations running — and they travel wherever your facilities are.
Critical Power Services
Critical power is where a facility's tolerance for error goes to zero. TCS is a trusted provider of mission-critical power and cooling infrastructure, specializing in UPS systems, DC power, batteries, generators, switchgear, inverters, and mechanical cooling systems. Our expert technicians ensure maximum uptime, reliability, and performance in the most demanding environments.
Systems we work on
- Uninterruptible power supply (UPS) systems and battery plants
- Standby and emergency generators, paralleling gear, and fuel systems
- Automatic and manual transfer switches
- Medium- and low-voltage switchgear and distribution
- Static transfer switches and power distribution units
- Critical branch and life safety distribution
- DC power systems, batteries, and inverters
- Mechanical cooling systems supporting critical environments — CRAC and CRAH units, chilled water, and split systems
- Load banking and capacity verification
Services across the equipment life cycle
- Assessment of existing systems, capacity, and condition
- Replacement and upgrade planning for aging equipment
- Installation, startup, and energization
- Preventive and predictive maintenance programs
- Arc flash studies, coordination studies, and short circuit analysis
- Infrared scanning and power quality investigation
- Emergency service and failure response
System Replacements Without Operational Downtime
Critical power equipment often reaches end-of-life while facilities must continue operating. TCS develops comprehensive cutover plans, temporary power strategies, and load-transfer procedures that allow aging infrastructure to be replaced safely and efficiently while maintaining continuity of operations. Our approach minimizes risk, protects uptime, and ensures a seamless transition to new equipment.
Know Your Risks. Strengthen Your Reliability. Contact TCS for a comprehensive Risk & Gap Analysis — we will assess your infrastructure, identify potential points of failure, and provide actionable recommendations to improve system performance, reliability, and business continuity.
Request an AssessmentTesting & Commissioning
Proof that a facility performs — before you depend on it.
TCS provides commissioning, load testing, and integrated systems testing that demonstrate operational readiness before a utility outage, equipment failure, or critical event puts your infrastructure to the test.
What we provide
- Commissioning planning, scripting, and management
- Factory witness testing and equipment acceptance
- Field acceptance testing and startup verification
- Integrated systems testing (IST) and failure scenario testing
- Load bank testing and capacity validation
- Retro-commissioning of existing facilities
- Commissioning readiness reviews and gap analysis
- Infrared (IR) scanning
- Turnover documentation, as-builts, and owner training
Commissioning Readiness
Most commissioning schedules slip for reasons that were visible months earlier: incomplete documentation, systems that were never designed to be tested together, or test scripts developed too late in the process. TCS assesses readiness while there is still time to fix the problem, then executes the testing that validates performance, reduces risk, and proves operational readiness.
Independent, or integrated with the install
TCS commissions both systems we install and systems installed by others. When we hold both construction and commissioning scopes, testing informs installation in real time, allowing issues to be identified and resolved before they affect turnover. When we serve as the independent commissioning agent, our findings remain objective, transparent, and focused solely on the owner's success.

Emergency response
TCS helps clients resolve electrical challenges quickly and safely. From emergency repairs and fault investigation to temporary power and system restoration, we deliver practical solutions that reduce downtime and keep operations moving.
24/7 Emergency Response • (888) 900-8794
When every minute counts, you'll reach a real TCS leader, not an answering service or automated dispatch. We're available 24/7 to support your most critical needs.
Why a maintenance partner is worth more than a vendor
TCS does more than respond when something breaks. We help clients understand system condition, identify risks before they become failures, and plan maintenance around operational requirements. The result is greater reliability, fewer unexpected outages, and a team that already knows your facility when you need support most.
Let's Build a Maintenance Program Around Your Risk, Not a Template.

You Cannot Operate What You Cannot See
Building Automation Systems (BAS) and Electrical Power Monitoring Systems (EPMS) transform installed equipment into a facility that can be effectively operated, monitored, and optimized. TCS designs, installs, integrates, and commissions both systems. Because we understand the infrastructure behind the data, we deliver monitoring solutions that provide meaningful insights, improve reliability, and help facility teams make informed decisions with confidence.
Building Automation Systems (BAS)
- BAS design, installation, and integration
- Controls for mechanical, cooling, and environmental systems
- Sequence of operations development and verification
- Graphics, alarming, and trending configuration
- Integration with existing building systems and protocols
- BAS commissioning and functional performance testing
Electrical Power Monitoring Systems (EPMS)
- EPMS architecture and point list development
- Metering, monitoring device, and network installation
- Integration across UPS, generator, switchgear, and distribution equipment
- Alarm, trending, and reporting configuration
- Power quality and capacity visibility for operations teams
- EPMS commissioning and validation
Where Most BAS and EPMS Projects Go Wrong
The value of a BAS or EPMS system depends on the accuracy of the information it provides. Yet many systems are turned over with unverified points, untested alarms, and graphics that don't match field conditions. TCS validates every critical function through structured testing and simulated failure scenarios, ensuring operators can trust the information they're using to make decisions.

Assessments and Studies
Sometimes the deliverable is not construction, it's a clear answer. TCS performs site and systems assessments, capacity studies, and gap analyses that help owners understand capacity, evaluate condition, identify risk, and make informed capital decisions with confidence.
Single-Source Responsibility. Proven Results.
On design-build projects, TCS carries the design, installation, and commissioning from start to finish. There is no disconnect between what was designed, what was built, and what was tested, and no uncertainty about who is responsible for the outcome. One team. One standard. One point of accountability.
Whether you're evaluating existing infrastructure, planning a capital project, or developing a new facility, TCS can help. Contact our team to discuss your goals, review your requirements, and schedule a complimentary project consultation.
